Signs of Fall

 October 10, 2019

A visit to the local Fruit Stand in the fall has a lasting effect on your creativity. All the produce they have on display is a feast for the imagination.

Stacks and stacks of pumpkins, gourds and some things you don't even know the names for. Inside is a Wurlitzer in the corner waiting patiently to play.

Out in the yard there are old wagon wheels holding pumpkins in spokes.

Wagons filled to the brim for a good view of the best one.

Even ones that are still a bit green.

The older vehicles which are there all year every year are decorated to draw customers in from the highway. The one below I let my creative juices flow and with some computer wizardry made an image I named "Gourd Nash".

So have a wonderfully creative Thanksgiving. A let those juices flow.

Fall Colours

Saturday Morning

Up early to catch the sunrise at different locations. The park had low hanging clouds.

Driving north I had to cross over the river canal before heading north again on the east side of the valley.

When I arrived at Area 27 the sun had just come over the east ridge and was bathing the west side in a warm glow of light.

I then drove north to Covert Farms and turned left to see what fall colours I could find.

There were places where yellow was the predominant colour with a background of green.

Some of the older wood fences were covered in a feathery moss.

One horse had a paddock to it's self.

Other fenced in areas were left quiet in the morning sun.

Looking down and back to the valley where I had started.

So until next time remember to "Discover It and Live It"
