The Nights Before Christmas

December 23, 2019

Of the many thing that people do when they are RVing is putting up with long winter nights. As we get older we can go to bed earlier. We are even eating supper/dinner earlier. The sun goes down and it gets dark by 4:00 pm so the meal is put out and the dishes are cleaned by 5:00 pm. The evening is a routine of checking the computer for emails, looking at Facebook, and Twitter something the has been done all day but there might be the one you have missed. So you check again. Then enough is enough and you swivel your chair toward the TV and recorded movies.

This year going into Christmas and Hanuka I recorded multiple "Scrooge" movies made from 1935 to 1997.

So here are the ones that I found on YouTube. There are most likely many many more. That is not a reference to the TV ad for records sold in the 70s and 80s. where the audio would say the recording artists and Many More. I never heard song by Mini More.

The oldest one I found was Scrooge 1937 Staring Seymour Hicks.

Then Scrooge 1951 staring Alastair Sim.

Next was Scrooge 1970 Staring Albert Finney.

Followed by A Christmas Carol 1984 staring George C. Scott.

This was a new twist An American Christmas Carol staring Henry Winkler.

In 1997 A Christmas Carol animation movie was done. With a long list of recognizable actors who lent the voices to the traditional Charles Dickens characters.

Over the years I have followed a few cartoons in newspapers and are now found on the internet. Garfield and the spider was one of my favorites.
