Visit to Liquidity Wines

My reason for visiting Liquidity Wines was to see the images exhibited in the gallery put on by Photo Ark National Geographic. There were some very interesting shot. One that caught my eye was of a California Condor, I played rugby with a team called the Condors.

Other images were seen in the foreground of the signature view from the bistro.

Then looking back toward the building.

 Welcome to Liquidity

After growing and selling award winning grapes to other wineries for the past 20 years they decided it was time to make our own.

100% of Liquidity wines are estate grown and hand harvested. They use sustainable and time-tested viticultural practices to provide the finest growing environment for their vines. Great wines begin with great grapes. The land of Liquidity Wines is rich in history, just as it’s soils are rich in the perfect minerals to grow a range of varietals. 10,000 years ago, glaciers covered the landscape deposited sand and gravel soils onto the south-facing property, creating the ideal growing conditions for fruits.

Their Tasting Room and Bistro are now OPEN DAILY for the 2018 season. This is what Lorraine had to said.

Her Quote:
While at Liquidity winery I took in the wine tasting. The young lady who did the demo was well educated about wines and taught me a few things, I learned that each wine has a special way of being made which give many different aromas from fruit, Earl Grey Tea, spices, cocoa, and even leather.

Naturally I had to purchase a couple of bottles from the eight available.

The Bistro was elegant and the servers very professional which fitted into the atmosphere of white interior highlighting the National Geographic Photos. The vista - view added to our dinning experience.

After arriving home with Lorraine's two bottles we enjoy time out in the yard.

More about their history can be found here. Liquidity Wines. The liquidity vineyard has soil and aspect comparable to the blue mountain vineyards. Slightly higher in elevation, it also commands excellent views of Vaseux Lake and the mountains beyond.

  • Be pollinator-friendly. You can help save butterflies, bees, birds, and other pollinators by planting local plants and milkweed in your garden at home and encouraging your neighborhood to do the same.
  • Explore volunteer opportunities with local wildlife rehabilitation centers in your community.
  • Learn as much as you can about your favorite animal so that you can form an educated opinion about the issues, and brainstorm how we can all coexist.

Pub Tweet

At 2:00 pm we said let's go for a drive. Grabbing water, camera, and car keys off we went up the highway to Rock Creek. Having never stepped into the Prospector before we said why not.

The present owner has been here for Three years and had change the place to his liking. As well as improvements to the building, he has put up bird feeders along the deck.

The birds were singing a merry tweet the entire time we eat and drank our suds.

Of coarse the rare Japanese noise makers were silent along the river bank.

The owner suggested we step inside and see what he has done with the place. Words could not express what awaited us.

Well until next time remember to "Discover It and Live It".

While Your Wife Is Away

This last week I was left to my own devises. One of those devises was the volume control on the sound system. Well needless to say I found things that were popular in my youth. Here is a short video from my holiday.

Oh by the way the music (as we called it back them) is by "Iron Butterfly". You remember right.

Did you notice there was no one at the table.

So until next time remember "Discover It and Live It".

Going to Calgary

Going to Winnipeg! Sorry just had to say it. Going to Calgary from Osoyoos involves driving to Penticton and getting on a West Jet direct flight. When you get to the airport terminal, you check-in and wait.

First thing is to get a tea and a seat.

Ticket says boarding time is 2:35 PM. What time is it now?

Time to wait. So you drink your tea, look at the ticket again and see the flight time is 3:15 PM.

What does the departure board say. West Jet - 3280 - Calgary - 3:15 PM - On Time.

Finally they call for all passengers to enter the secure area and get luggage checked.

The photographer now heads outside to scout the best vantage point to see a plane arrive.

Noisy chopper doing something around the tower. There is a net at the end of a rope holding things, could this be part of a real life adventure, the thing that movies are made of. No maybe not.

Little did the photographer know - the passenger that disappeared is now franticly looking for him to take 2 True Elements Skin Care bottles back home. (No containers with fluids a allowed on planes) The Nikken Velvet Cleans ans Refreshing Tonic are too valuable to just throw away. Finally the transfer is made at the terminal front door and the excitement is over.

Now the passenger can go back to waiting with all the other passengers for Flight 3280 to Calgary.

Finally a West Jet plane arrives at 3:05 PM. The grounds controller is patiently waiting for it to get to the terminal.

The ramp is put into place.

Luggage is unloaded at the same time that the passengers walk the ramp along with any animals in crates who get a personal touch.

The rest of the luggage gets taken to an outer door and then loaded on the carousel that delivers it inside to the awaiting owners.

The waiting is now over for our passenger who makes her way to the ramp loaded down with three peaces of luggage containing, who knows what, winter coats, books, but no bottles with fluids.

Up the narrow ramp to the plane.

Now the waiting continues. Time is now 3:36 pm. Remember the flight "On Time" sign that read 3:15 pm.

The photograph is now board and is looking around to find other subjects to shoot.

3:40 PM the plane is approaching the runway for its take-off.

And there goes our traveler off on another Abencher.

So ends the waiting. Remember to "Discover It and Live It".
