While Your Wife Is Away

This last week I was left to my own devises. One of those devises was the volume control on the sound system. Well needless to say I found things that were popular in my youth. Here is a short video from my holiday.

Oh by the way the music (as we called it back them) is by "Iron Butterfly". You remember right.

Did you notice there was no one at the table.

So until next time remember "Discover It and Live It".

Going to Calgary

Going to Winnipeg! Sorry just had to say it. Going to Calgary from Osoyoos involves driving to Penticton and getting on a West Jet direct flight. When you get to the airport terminal, you check-in and wait.

First thing is to get a tea and a seat.

Ticket says boarding time is 2:35 PM. What time is it now?

Time to wait. So you drink your tea, look at the ticket again and see the flight time is 3:15 PM.

What does the departure board say. West Jet - 3280 - Calgary - 3:15 PM - On Time.

Finally they call for all passengers to enter the secure area and get luggage checked.

The photographer now heads outside to scout the best vantage point to see a plane arrive.

Noisy chopper doing something around the tower. There is a net at the end of a rope holding things, could this be part of a real life adventure, the thing that movies are made of. No maybe not.

Little did the photographer know - the passenger that disappeared is now franticly looking for him to take 2 True Elements Skin Care bottles back home. (No containers with fluids a allowed on planes) The Nikken Velvet Cleans ans Refreshing Tonic are too valuable to just throw away. Finally the transfer is made at the terminal front door and the excitement is over.

Now the passenger can go back to waiting with all the other passengers for Flight 3280 to Calgary.

Finally a West Jet plane arrives at 3:05 PM. The grounds controller is patiently waiting for it to get to the terminal.

The ramp is put into place.

Luggage is unloaded at the same time that the passengers walk the ramp along with any animals in crates who get a personal touch.

The rest of the luggage gets taken to an outer door and then loaded on the carousel that delivers it inside to the awaiting owners.

The waiting is now over for our passenger who makes her way to the ramp loaded down with three peaces of luggage containing, who knows what, winter coats, books, but no bottles with fluids.

Up the narrow ramp to the plane.

Now the waiting continues. Time is now 3:36 pm. Remember the flight "On Time" sign that read 3:15 pm.

The photograph is now board and is looking around to find other subjects to shoot.

3:40 PM the plane is approaching the runway for its take-off.

And there goes our traveler off on another Abencher.

So ends the waiting. Remember to "Discover It and Live It".
