Our visit to Victoria included a drive to Port Renfrew and we stopped at the trail head for the Juan de Fuca Trail on Vancouver Island's west coast.
We knew that Lorraine's daughter and granddaughter had completed this trail, so we wanted to see some of it, if only the start of the trail. Now I had to make a decision, trail head or cold beer?
We chose the trail, not the beer.
On a well trodden path we saw many a large tree ...
And tall trees ...
And dark trees ...
And tree roots ...
And tree stumps ...
Then through the trees we saw the beach.
You could see the whole of the Pacific.

The beach was covered in driftwood.
It seamed to be very peaceful and relaxing. Many people we strolling along the open space. Lorraine said her thoughts were of Lynne and Nikki who had been here before us.
The walk back to the parking lot was all up hill.
So until next time remember to "Discover It and Live it".
I enjoyed the walk, as short as it was, on the Juan De Fuca trail.
