Rain, rain, and more rain

The last couple of days have been wet to say it mildly.

Ground is soaked and will need time to dry out.

The "Back Fourty" as I am calling it, has been contoured and sculptured to handle the laying of sod, the building of a pickle court, and a community garden.

View to the north and member units across the unfinished area.

Many of the members of our complex are not settled in yet.

Running back and forth to pack the moved earth into place.

Working for many days to level to grade.

After the work was complete the rain started. This showed that the drainage plan was working.

So here we sit waiting for the full compliment of members to join us in this new adventure.

With every sunrise a hope for new things to come.

Until next time "Remember to Discover It and Live It".

New Beginnings

We are in the throws of A New Beginning

Just recently Lorraine and I (Randal) have change provinces, cities, and home. We moved with the help of relatives and their vehicles. The route was fairly direct by sticking to the main highways. After a lunch stop and a gas fill up we were on the road for 6 hours.

Preparing to disassemble Lorraine's desk

All loaded and saying our goodbyes

The tri cycle was duct taped to the roof rack

The last selfie in Wasa

The route we took from Wasa, BC to Brooks, AB

The first few days were rainy and wet.

Then the sun came out to lift our spirits.

The landscape crew were able to get the front perennials in with a water drip system.

The days seem to start early enough to see sunrises.

So watch for new updates about our New Beginnings.
