Gooseberry Provincial Park

Monday July 1, 2013 - Gooseberry Provincial Park Alberta
You live in a pulsating, vibrating Universe of advanced harmonics. Everything that exists, in your air, in your dirt, in your water, and in your bodies, is vibration in motion—and all of it is managed by the powerful Law of Attraction. There is nothing that exists outside of this vibrational nature, and as you learn to accept your vibrational nature, and begin to consciously utilize your emotional vibrational indicators, you will gain conscious control of your personal creations and of the outcomes of your life experience.---Abraham
Moving day. It was 9ºC and sunny this morning and it got to 26ºC. We drove for six hours. Airdrie to # 72 to # 21 north, to #12 to Settler. We stopped for diesel at a Co-op Station. On entering the driveway there was an incline and the sewer hose holders were damaged.

We continued on to Coronation and by 4:30pm we decided to take a campsite in Gooseberry Provincial Park for $28.00/ a night. First impression was the park is not a well kept one. It was a self serve – take a registration envelop, pick a site, fill out the form, put your money in and walk back to the registration box and deposit the registration.

We were greeted by a swarm of mosquitoes that were out in full force. The park caretaker drove by as we arrived, gave us directions to how and where to park. The back-in sites are among trees but not level.

Fortunately for us there was an eight foot 4 x 8 board near the site, with our 4 x 4 pieces of boards, which we used on one side to level the trailer. We left the truck hitched to the trailer. We have 30 amp service with a dump station down a road. At least we could use the air condition system. We were set up in good order and had a supper.

Like all Provincial Parks there is no wifi and cell phone reception was nil. There was a Telus phone booth near the play area. Randal and I went for a walk to tour the place. Very few people are here but we were told over the weekends it can get very busy.

We walked on a path, cut through the bushes and marsh area near the lake. The lake had no beach. There was a golf course near by. The sites can accommodate groups, large and small, or single unites. It may be tight for larger RV's and Motor Homes.

When you spend time in Provincial Parks you have to leave most life-style conveniences at home. They are a places to be with nature and your true self. One can take advantage of your creativity of writing, painting, nature walking, reading, mediation or whatever you wish. Often there is a golf course near by or a small body of water which may be good for water sports or a home for mosquitoes.

We watched one of the movies on Randal had downloaded onto his computer. I retired by 9:00 pm the sun was still up but with me sleep mask I did not know it.

It was 13ºC and sunny the next morning. Randal and I woke before the sun was up at 5:00am. The direction we had parked the trailer did not give us our bearings as to where the sun rose. It was shine along the through the trees along the road in front.

After my morning routine, I was called to sit outside and enjoy a short mediation in the sun. However the mosquitoes were making their acquaintances so I had to return to the trailer, put repellent on and bring out my mosquito hat.

By 6:30 I was ready for my walk around Gooseberry Park. As I walked I reflected on how much I had to be aware of just being. Everything was so bright, I saw and hear many more birds singing. It was very calming.

So remember to "Discover It and Live It"
