New Rig Is Home

We picked up the Open Range today at Minards Leisure World in Weyburn, SK today. It is now home safe and sound at Regina Beach. The Ram did it's part and seem very happy to be working again for a change.

 The TT made it's way into Canada from Indiana with only one mishap. A flat tire on the left front. You can see the spare with the solid rim. The replacement rim and tire will be here in a couple of weeks.

I'ts Official

Well it's now official. We have a Dodge Ram to pull our Open Range Wellness Home. I brought it home today after a tour in the city getting use to the wider stance. We went looking for a gray or white truck but found the perfect vehicle in this loaded Red 3500 Dodge Ram. It should be the one to last us a few years.         

The weather lately has been cool and windy with melting causing flooding problems. Lumsden has prepared for high water by adding to the berms, putting rail cars on the bridges and clearing rubble from highway bridges.

Some of the buildings close to the Qu'Appelle River are flooded     

We will be keeping an eye on the events over the next couple of weeks.

Wellness Home on Wheels

Well here it is the end of March and we still have winter all around us. There's an old rhyme I recall, "April showers bring May flowers". Now mind you we still have all of April to get rain, so we'll wait for that to happen and look for the flowers.

My wife and I are new RVers and have not got on the road yet. We did a winter trip to North Carolina two years ago and spent a wonderful month in warmer weather. We took a few day trips up and along the Blue Ridge Parkway that we throughly enjoyed.

At home now we are still down loading in order to fit ourselves into our Open Range travel trailer. We sure have a lot of stuff. We also have volunteer commitments to finalize. Here is a picture of our Wellness Home on wheels.

First Post

We are new to the RV life and a looking forward to getting on the road. We have a few, well many things that have to be done before we see moving pavement under our wheels. This is where I will be giving you our progress to meet the goal.

First thing that must happen is the selling of our house in Buena Vista, Sask.
